Grape variety: Trebbiano Abruzzo 100%
The Trebbiano vine is often accompanied by the name of the area of origin (Trebbiano Abruzzese, Toscano, Romagnolo and many others). Its name derives from “Trebula” which means “homemade wine”. This is why they say that drinking good Trebbiano is like returning to the flavor of home-produced wine.
Cultivation area: Chieti hills - Maiella slopes at an altitude of approximately 450m above sea level.
Denomination: Trebbiano DOP
In the vineyard: Raised using the Abruzzo pergola system on soils exposed to the south – south/east which tend to be calcareous and rich in stone. Management of the vineyards according to the organic production method Reg. (EC) n. 834/2007
Harvest: Harvested by hand and in 20 kg boxes in mid-September, when its acidity level is quite high and the grapes have reached the right balance with the sugar content in order to give balance and freshness to the wine.
In the cellar: Fermentation with native yeasts, conducted at a controlled temperature.
Aging: The maturation at the end of fermentation on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks for approximately three months which makes the wine acquire complexity and importance.
Sensory characteristics: Straw yellow with a delicate floral bouquet with notes of white flowers and olfactory nuances reminiscent of hazelnut. Fresh, savory and mineral on the palate.
Pairings: Excellent with fish starters and all seafood cuisine, white meats and medium-aged cheeses.
