The "Fifth Edition" was created from two successive casks, distilled in 2022 and bottled in 2026. It is both Strada Ferrata's fifth whisky and their second four-year-old whisky.
The first cask, an ex-bourbon, plays the most significant role, enhancing the peated malt.
Finished in an ex-Marsala cask.
Color: Amber
Nose: Elegant aromas of peat and sweet wine emerge on the nose, with notes of slightly smoky candied fruit and, on the finish, subtle phenolic notes.
Palate: The entry into the mouth is a combination of power and sweetness, with cereals taking center stage, supported by vinous notes.
Finish: A comforting and characterful peat explodes on the finish.
Unchill-filtered and without coloring.
